Detroit College Day

Detroit College Day (DCD) is hosted by MSU CollegeAdvising Corps (MSUCAC), AdviseMI College Advising Program, United Way for Southeastern Michigan, and Detroit College Access Network (DCAN). The purpose of DCD is to inform and excite high school seniors and juniors about the college planning process and to inspire a college-going atmosphere in the city of Detroit. The event will include a college fair and college knowledge workshops and panel discussions.

DCD originated and has been an event of the MSU CollegeAdvising Corps since 2013. MSU CollegeAdvising Corps' purpose is to increase the college participation and completion rate in Michigan, particularly among underserved students, first generation college students, and low-income students. This year MSUCAC is increasing the number of students reached through Detroit College Day by collaborating with AdviseMI College Advisers, United Way for Southeastern Michigan, and DCAN.
