Detroit S.T.R.I.V.E.S

Detroit STRIVES is a professional development series for those who support students with college access. 

Hosted monthly from 10a-12p (2nd Thursday of every month) and feature different college access topics, with a one hour access topic and one hour FAFSA strategy and completion topic.

Summer NET Program

Detroit College Access Network (DCAN) has continued its partnership with the Detroit Promise, Detroit Drives Degrees, and the Detroit Regional Chamber by connecting students from Detroit directly to the college universities they are attending to better prepare them for Fall 2024.

This program will provide an opportunity for students to spend a full day on campus to get acclimated to their new learning environment

Summer STEP (Advising)

Detroit College Access Network, Detroit Regional Chamber, and Detroit Drives Degrees continue to provide summer support to students throughout the region. If students are from Wayne Oakland or Macomb County, they can get free one-on-one assistance with key areas of the postsecondary process such as financial aid, housing budgeting, transportation, food, and enrollment to help them reach their academic goals.
