Recognizing these student's hard work is really important to the school and the community. Partners have the opportunity to act as mentors and become involved to help students succeed post graduation. Having outside professional guidance has a major impact on graduating students as it provides them with a sense of direction and positive reinforcement.

Be A Part of Detroit College Day:
This event is hosted by MSU College Advising Corps (MSUCAC), AdviseMI College Advising Program, United Way for Southeastern Michigan, and Detroit College Access Network (DCAN). The purpose of Detroit College Day is to inform and excite high school juniors and seniors about the college planning process. The Importance of College Decision Day:
College Decision Day is inspired by the NCAA’s National Signing Day to reinforce excellence in the classroom is just as important as being a star athlete. The goal of College Decision Day is to recognize ALL high school seniors for their postsecondary educational plans and encourage younger students to start preparing. College Decision Day is held annually on or around May 1st.

To encourage and remind students it’s time to make a decision
To support the best match and fit for each student
To influence younger students to start preparing
To support a college-going culture and end with a celebration
