The Detroit College Access Network (DCAN) is led by a cross-sector Leadership Team comprised of K-12, higher education, philanthropy, nonprofit, business, government, and community-based organizations and leaders. The roles and responsibilities of the DCAN Leadership team include:

• Provide the vision and strategic direction for the network

• Build public-will around college access and success efforts in Detroit

• Develop and commit to the network common agenda​ and shared metrics

• Work towards systems change in their sector and within their organizations

• Review and approve the DCAN annual budget

• Conduct performance reviews of DCAN staff and the network as whole

• Analyze data and make recommendations for network priorities

• Mobilize funds to invest into and sustain the network
